On the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, RASIT works with UN Member States, Inter-Governmental Organizations, the UN and its entities to achieve equality in science, technology, and innovation for socio-economic sustainable development.

The 9th Assembly brought together women in science leaders and experts from around the world, high-level government officials, representatives of international organizations and the private sector to discuss women leadership in achieving the three pillars of Sustainable Development; economic prosperity, social justice, and environmental integrity.

Globally, women have become engines for economic growth. Achieving gender diversity in enterprises is of critical importance to improving business outcomes. However, women remain underrepresented in business, particularly at senior management levels. This is true across the technical community. While much progress has been made, women remain underutilised despite representing a dynamic and capable pool of talent.

The IST are fully committed to supporting our women in tech community both members and non-members, and encourage all individuals to celebrate our amazing female colleagues in science and to take part in these celebrations and why not consider joining groups dedicated for the interests of women in tech, support and empower females and help to overcome barriers.
