Staff working within the technical community stand the chance of winning great prizes by showing their photography and imaging skills at the annual IST Technical Conference – so what are you waiting for – send us your images, and help us showcase the great work that the technical workforce do.
Applicants are required to submit images (photographs, scanned copies of original artwork or digital media pieces) of themselves, their colleagues at work, or the environment in which they work, in ways that best reflect this year’s Conference theme: 75 Years and Beyond: Delivering Excellence & Innovation in a Changing Technical Landscape.
The images should highlight/showcase the work done by the technical workforce and it’s importance in making things happen within the workplace and the wider community.
Prizes, which include vouchers of the winners choice worth £150 (x1 winner) and £50 (x2 runners up), will be awarded at this years IST Technical Conference to be held at London South Bank University, on 13th September.
Attendees at the one-day in-person Conference will be treated to engaging talks from our Keynote Speakers. There will be campus tours throughout the day, a choice of at least 15 group workshops/discussions, tech showcases, a career zone, and plenty of opportunities to network.
Competition entries need to be submitted by email to: office@istonline.org.uk by midday, 4th September. Files can either be emailed directly as attachments or links can be sent for download if the files are too large for email transmission. Please include your name, job role and a short description of what the image depicts.
- Images submitted should be high resolution JPG, PNG or PDF files between 1-10MB file size. The longest edge of the image should be at least 2500 pixels without interpolation
- Images must showcase the work of the technical workforce and have good composition, detail, correct focus, exposure and colour or monochrome tonal range are key. Entrants should aim to convey a message or create an impact on the viewer that emphatically endorses/highlights the ’75 Years and Beyond: Delivering Excellence & Innovation in a Changing Technical Landscape’ theme. Any person visible within the image must have given written permission for the image to be submitted and displayed.
