Artificial Intelligence
Innovate with Integrity. Engineer with Ethics. Lead with Responsibility.
We work within industry, the government and education to provide advice, guidance and expertise on the implementation of robust AI. We work with public perception to ensure everyone, from developers to users, can understand the complexity of the discipline of AI as well as the potential effects on them as an individual and on society as a whole.
What do we do?
We seek to engage and promote healthy and informed debate among the widest possible range of people from diverse industries both on current and future developments of artificial intelligence.
Our flagship conference enables you to network with other AI Professionals as well as discuss and present on cutting edge interesting topics. We have a wide variety of AI disciplines from all sectors attending the conferences.
We also offer Professional AI Accreditation for professionals working in AI in any sector or discipline:

AI Special Interest Group
The AI Group meets periodically to explore both the strategic and operational priorities of our professional community. Discussions focus on how members can strengthen networks, share expertise, and contribute meaningfully to the wider AI landscape. The group also leads the development of a seminar and podcast series designed to showcase emerging practice, stimulate debate, and support continuous learning across the sector.
Anyone wishing to attend the AI Group meetings should email aigroup@istonline.org.uk

Seminar/Podcast Series
Our seminar series is designed to be an opportunity to listen to both external experts and IST Members about their work or research in AI. We encourage questions and debate with all our invited speakers. We are also exploring delivering a range of podcasts moving forward.
We would be delighted to hear from IST Members who wish to nominate themselves or others to contribute to the programme – please contact aigroup@istonline.org.uk.

AI Training
All our courses are aligned with FHEQ levels in Higher Education and can be tailored to your needs and requirements, and can be delivered online or in-person.
