Women in Tech Profiles Showcase

Our aim is to inspire more girls to see themselves in STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine) by showcasing real women who are thriving in these fields. To do this, we’re creating a series of downloadable A4 posters that teachers, colleges, universities and employers can display to spark curiosity and broaden girls’ sense of what’s possible.
We aim to make these available to schools and careers events so that posters can displayed and rotated every few weeks, offering a fresh set of role models whose careers and interests might catch a student’s eye. A photograph, a hobby, a job title — sometimes that’s all it takes for a girl to pause, connect, and imagine a future she hadn’t considered before. This visual approach helps make STEMM careers feel relatable, human and achievable.
To make this work, we need more voices – your voice, and your profile.
Women working in tech and STEMM are powerful role models, and your story could be exactly the one that encourages a girl to take that next step. By contributing your profile, you’re not just sharing your journey; you’re actively shaping the pipeline of future talent.
If you’re willing to take part, we ask for:
- Two or three photographs that reflect your work and two or three that tell us about your interests
- Three or four bullet points about your role
- Three or four bullet points about your hobbies or passions
You can then add these to the poster templates, and we’ll link your finished poster from this page. If you’d like support with wording or layout, we’re very happy to help — simply send your draft text and images to office@istonline.org.uk and we’ll work with you to refine them and put them into our profile template..
Your contribution could be the spark that helps a girl see her place in STEMM.
