Professional development is essential for 21st Century technicians. To be professional, it is important to adhere to the ethics and conduct of your area of practice, maintain the standards of knowledge and practice necessary skills to fulfil your role. A key part of being registered is to participate in Professional and Personal Development (PPD) also known as Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

CPD is an important area of most professional career paths. CPD offers a mechanism by which you can document the work you do above and beyond your job role, aiding in upwards progression. At the Institute of Science and Technology we promote the importance of CPD to all our members and provide a simple system for maintaining your progress throughout the year.

The two systems we offer are off-line (paper based with links to forms below), or through CPD Central (please contact the registrations email below for information).

*A few members have told us they are having difficulty with the online payments portal, after speaking to the website technical experts, there doesn’t seem to be anything preventing people from paying but are looking more into this. If you do have any problems, please contact us.
