Celebrating 115 years of IWD: why it matters

In 2026, we proudly mark the 115th anniversary of International Women’s Day, celebrated on 8th March 2026 – a global moment to recognise the achievements, resilience and leadership of women everywhere. For more than a century, this day has highlighted both progress made and the work still needed to ensure equity, visibility and opportunity for women in every sector, including technology.

For us, celebrating IWD isn’t just symbolic. It’s a reminder that representation shapes aspiration: when women see themselves reflected in technical roles, leadership positions and innovation spaces, it expands what feels possible. It also reinforces the importance of inclusive cultures where women can thrive, contribute fully and progress without barriers.

As we honour this milestone year, we celebrate the women driving change across our community — and we recommit to building a tech sector where every woman’s talent is recognised, supported and valued.
